Was the "kings fall" raid a joke?
So far it feels like the raid is too easy and not challenging enough. We've completed it 4 times already and it's getting to the point to how easy crotas end is. Why do you guys think?
I don't understand why people are getting so mad I'm just asking a question to the ones that have finished it. In no way did I say I'm better than anyone I just want to know the opinion of people who have beat oryx simple as that no need to get butthurt over a question.
To certain comments just read this and it's what I would I've replied.
1. You looked it up on YouTube how to do it
A: when it first launched we were at oryx when bromen ( the first team to beat in ) was at oryx. We didn't look anything up since that ruins the experience and we didn't want to ruin it.
2. You die in the raid alot
A: my team and I tend to act stupid during jump mazes and we kill each other and miss jumps since we suck at jumping and our knees can't handle a land lol we have fun during raiding but we still get shit done.
3. You have a full raid team you're a scrub
A: no we are 4 and one of our guy is always high and he can't jump and dies so much I get headache but once again we still get it done. We always grab 2 lfg guys to join and we don't care if they haven't beat oryx we like helping first timers.
4. You are a elitist douche for asking a question so now we are salty and we must lay our salt upon you
A: thus question is just for the people that have beat the raid and I'm just wondering what people think so far of it about its difficulty.
5. What system are you on and can we raid
A: I'm on ps4 and my psn is dro-logic send me a friend request and we can help you beat oryx if you are having a hard time finding a good team on lfg. We don't mind if you have a hard time understanding the mechanics we understand and don't mind helping out a fellow guardian.

Edited by Itachi: 9/23/2015 1:24:53 PMI played the raid and beat it twice. We had a few space case raiders that made some fights harder than needed. The only real challenging fight is golgoroth, but he is a dps race and again space cases. Though the fights are pretty easy when you nail the mechanics down and get to an appropriaye level, the raid actually felt like a raid and i had loads of fun with it. And remember guardians......this is normal mode. We have hard and heroic to look forward to.

Honestly, once you know the mechanics it seems easy and not that complicated. The first time is hard not knowing the mechanics, but past that its not bad at all. Due to it being a mechaincs driven raid though finding a full team that can actually be relied upon to understand it is what makes it hard. We beat all up to oryx last night. We had oryx in the last damage phase a few times, but failed to actually kill him yet. Some of the team is still failing to grasp all of the mechanics. We expect to have it done tonight though since the mechanics are well understood now.

If you have a good enough team then nothing is really hard. I mean either everyone is either a really good player, or everyone can work really well together. My team went in blind and we made it to the war priest without wiping. We didn't even need to do talk other then specific callouts, when people either died, where to go, etc. The only reason we didn't get farther was because we got the war priest down to under half health on the first attempt and then one of the guys had to go.

My group started a completely blind play through yesterday. It's not the actual gameplay that's difficult, it's figuring out the mechanics of the level. If you used a YouTube tutorial, then you won't find it challenging.

I was never more excited to beat a raid before. I was never more excited to beat any boss in any game before.

I don't think it's easy. We haven't finished the raid more than once (works,school etc.) but I'm curious to know: How long did you need to finish the second, third etc. run? What was your fastest attempt? Even with the raid experience, I can hardly imagine that someone needs less than 2 hours for the raid. However, King's Fall is way better than Crota and not even close to be that easy. I mean you can solo Crota's End but you can't solo King's Fall. Also Crota doesn't have such interesting mechanics such as the relict hunt during a boss fight or detonating orbs at the same time to damage the boss.

Yes the Normal raid is easy. It's supposed to be. Now go do a couple of heroic strikes that they've redone............ imagine hard mode.

I loved it! By far the most challenging, frustrating thing that destiny has to offer in my opinion. Amazing mechanics, bosses were real! Great job bungie..we wanted a challenge and you gave it to us!!

Still haven't killed oryx. This raid is hard with randoms. Alot of coordination is required.

You are right. First time it felt hard, because you have to learn those mechanics and all. Yesterday was the second run and it was so much easier.... it felt like a little bit too easy.

Honestly every raid is easy when you know how. The only thing that made vog hard was it was the first one and no one knew what type of mechanics they would include. That being said it also took a lot longer to get above the light level to do that raid without evrythhing hitting hard. But like anything in life. If you know the mechanics or the method to do something it then become easy. The one thing this raid does offer is less chances to carry people thro. Unlike crota. But then again crota was made easy thro cheeses untill people got the light level to not get killed in two hits.

This raid is really good, rewards a good team. I really enjoy it (apart from the jumping puzzle)
