I would have loved to have seen this headline get legs a year ago. I said these things to whomever would listen. It just didn't get repeated so enthusiastically until now. We intend to make Destiny for a long time. We have partnerships to help us make that happen. At the same time, we have room to adapt and improvise. There would be no point in having a Feedback forum if our plans for the next decade were set in stone and locked down by contract. This #Feedback forum is such an important place because it enables you to play a role in our creative process - and we hope you see evidence of that in Update 2.0. It would be hard to make a ten year "plan" that anticipated everything you have collectively said to us as a community. The long-term commitment to the players of Destiny is there, it just isn't so defined that we can't pivot toward great ideas.

I sincerely hope that those "great ideas" do not end up being a full character reset. I have been following this game since its inception. The way in which it was touted early on was a "ten year game". I'm pretty sure that everyone else who was around at the beginning thought the same thing. I was under the impression that I would take a character on an adventure that would grow and expand over a ten year period. Not shrivel and shrink like it has in TTK. I expected to play year 8 and pull out a piece of gear from year one and just blow people's minds. Now that stuff I busted my butt for is obsolete and "boring". It appears that you are following a trend here. You are not bucking convention at all. You've just presented it in such a way as to make players believe this game is different and cutting edge. Following those trends, I fully expect a full character and world reset when Destiny 2 comes out. I hope that never happens but given the track record, that is where you are heading. You think the community is pissed now? Try pulling that crap. I know you don't run Bungie/Activision Deej. I know you likely don't have a lot of say in the major decisions there. It's a job. I respect that but you all need to understand why this kind of stuff drives the hardcore base nuts. This is not the game we were promised. You can snow the newcomers because they don't know any better but you aren't fooling those of here since day one.

I've wondered why he just doesn't come out and say that he really doesn't know and can't answer or concerns because he hasn't been told anything. I would rather have him simply be honest with the player base, even if it is something that people wouldn't want to hear. If Bungievision doesn't let him or want him doing that, then that is on their heads primarily. However, then individual morality comes into play here. DeeJ is like the rest of us and has to have a job to eat and have housing. We don't know if he likes his job or not. For all we know, he could be one of those people that hates going to work everyday based around what he does. That being said though, one seriously has to analyze that if your job with worth compromising your principles.

Yeah there's been a few things he has said that leads me to believe that there are decisions that he isn't happy about as well. This statement though, leads me to believe that they're setting us up for what's coming.

Surely the real multilevel marketing/pyramid, player driven money making rational behind not including it has run its course. Im sure most of us have all recomended this to our friends at some point so we have people to play the game with regularly to make the grind a little less boring. Surely its time you can drop it and give us this or is it still an important marketing tool to drive sales for the franchise. I would have thought most of the potential market has been reached by now and that dropping this would bring back those frustrated at its ommision. Which is greater? I have no idea but im not coming back until its inclusion. Btw nice to see a bungie comment on the forums.

Amazing how the community's feedback is so important to you when everything we want is either taken away or ignored. DeeJ I know you probably get a lot of crap being the community manager and all but you need to shut up and stop trying to make things sound better than they are until you've actually read about what the players want and tried to do something about it.

Thanks DeeJ, and I would have loved to see TTK released at an equivalent price in the UK to the price in the USA i.e. currently $40=£26 NOT £40 which as you all bloody know = $61 ! What's all that about? This is the digital age - you don't have any shipping cost, just a bonkers sales manager and an overly enthusiastic marketing team with way too big a budget

TTK is by far the best experience to be had in gaming today.i hope all the future iterations of dlc are executed like this.

Honestly, I would get more enjoyment out of a couple hours of dark souls than I ever would playing TTK. Same with many of my friends, in fact, all of them would agree with me here.
