To everyone here, I don't think the OP is implying the marks are too hard for PvE, but rather, the PvP aspect of things. Sure you acquire 15 for doing one daily match, but what about after that?
It's easy to say just do more PvE content, but the fact is, there was a perfect system in place beforehand that didn't require you to do so.
Why they changed this is beyond me.

I haven't played enough crucible yet after TTK was released to know what the legendary drop rates were like, but if they were anything like they were in HoW crucible, then you should be able to earn a fair amount of marks just by taking apart legendary's.

While OP may be complaining about PvP, it sounds about on par for PvE as well. You have one daily event in each for 15 marks. You can get legendary gear in each mode to disassemble for marks (I accept the argument that PvE contains more sources of rewards so that much is not even.) The other difference between the two? Heroic strikes? Marks are a joke for them. You get 15 marks per day for the daily story and can get at most 30 marks per week for heroic strikes. You get fewer marks and less frequently for more challenging content (heroic strikes) than you can get from easier content (daily story.) Heroic strike marks may as well not even exist.

Because peopled whined about separate marks being a lockout to vendors.
