I'll be in Canada on Wednesday, but would like to run it this week.
Sorry about last night. Did something else need to happen to flinch Oryx?

Snap. I plan on running this Wednesday and then another day maybe. Let's play it by ear, at least on my part. But yeah bro. Don't worry about last night. It was frustrating but we figured it out. On one run we got him to flinch so much and put so much damage on him, we skipped the running around the platforms part and went straight to the other realm. Just couldn't kill the shadow witch.

How did you get him to flinch? Is it really just DPS? Or something else?

It's really DPS. So after killing the Knight, instead of hanging out in the middle, we ran straight up to Oryx, but not close enough to activate the black orb. As soon as Oryx opened his chest, we unloaded on him and it caused him to flinch. Then 1 person activates the orb right in front of us, while the rest of us continued to unload on Oryx in his open chest. He keeps flinching if you continue to put a ton of damage on him. Like I said, on one run we put so much damage on him it took his life to below half just from the first encounter and we went straight to the other realm.

Sounds like what we did last night. Was your 6th over 290? What is the effect the black ball has on Oryx?

He was 296. The black balls are there to channel his light I think. I'm always the relic holder so not exactly sure. I do know for sure that the only way to get sent to the other realm,. is to activate the black ball. I also know that if you activate the black ball before flinching Oryx, it wipes the whole team.

Bungie does suck, I'm not gonna argue that. I think when you were running it with us, we were doing it a little bit wrong. I think we could've done it with your 289 if we had gotten closer.

I thought that's what we did at the end. Jumped on the platform closet to him with relic.
