One of the biggest and most glaring problems I see with the current Legendary Marks system is the HUGE unintended consequence that directly affects PvP. With how scarce Marks are to obtain, you will soon start to see a trend (if you haven't already) of people who enter the daily Crucible challenge specifically for the Marks, doing very little to participate in the match. Win or lose, Marks are obtained. This will begin to undermine the PvP part of the community who want to go up against people who are at least going to try.
Now since I don't necessarily trust Bungie to understand what I'm saying, worrying that they will see this and think, "Oh well we'll make it so that Legendary Marks are only earned for the winning team" or something like that, I'll put it bluntly: there needs to be a greater source of obtaining these Marks.
A re-implementation of a Strike Mark reward system should be looked at. You have a new consecutive Strike reward system in place, why not expand on it where the first victory rewards 1 Mark, second consecutive victory rewards 2 Marks, and 3+ consecutive victories reward 3 Marks. This same concept should also be installed into the Crucible playlist too.

Edited by Sylvestris: 9/22/2015 12:08:41 PMFYI: you also have people who are setting into the Crucible for the first time just for the marks. To me and you? That's a bad thing. To Bungie: hey look, these guys are finally participating in Cruible. Who cares if they only run one match, don't want to be there, don't like it, and will ditch it at their first chance - they're finally in there.
How many environmental deaths do I need before being permabanned from Crucible?
Then play trials of Osiris. Many Destiny players have little interest in PvP. Just take your easy kills on Crucible and stop whining.

I think you're missing the point. You two should be in agreement with each other. Why force players who don't want to play Crucible to play Crucible? You'd both get what you want if we didn't feel forced to have to enter just to get marks once per day.

A PvE junkie goes out of his way to try to defend his PvP counterparts and he is seen as "whining." If that is what you wish to call it, then I accept for the sake of my fellow Guardians.

Agreed when doing the daily! Ive been peered up with some of the worst teams ever! Because they are awarded participations instead of winning!

Edited by Senor Crouch: 9/21/2015 5:31:35 AMDefinitely why there needs to be more outlets of obtaining Marks, to divert the Mark collector traffic away from the Crucible Daily.
