[b] Lance is sitting in the garage, working on his Dradon, waiting for Serena to arrive.[/b]

A knock was heard
-
"It's open!" [b] Lance calls from the garage.[/b]
-
She opened it. "Hi"
-
[b] Lance smiles.[/b] "Hey. Glad you found you're way here safely."

"Yeah."
-
"Alright. Follow me." [b] He leads you to a kitchen and opens the fridge, grabbing a soda.[/b] "You want anything? Beer, soda, water, juice, there's just about everything in here."

"I'm fine, thanks."
-
"Suit yourself." [b] He leads you downstairs into a basement about size of a basketball court. Steel floors, walls, ceilings. There's a boxing ring in one corner with racks of guns, swords, knives, along the walls. Multiple pieces of boxing and MMA equipment line the room, with workout machines.[/b]

"Wow."

[b] Lance rubs the back of his neck sheepishly.[/b] "Uh, yeah." [b] He turns to you. [/b. "How about we start with Scrying. This allows you to take someone's item, and see their past. The only requirement is you have to have something of theirs. Now we can't use on of yours because that'd make no sense. So.... We'll use mine." [b] He hands you his katana, Savior.[/b] "Now I want you to focus. Concentrate on what you want to see. In this case, my past. Feel the energy flowing off the blade. Feel it's connection to me."

"What do I concentrate on? You, or the blade?"

"You want to concentrate on its connection to me. I'm your target, the blade is a gateway. Use it's energy to get to me." [spoiler] Have her do that and I'll narrate what she sees.[/spoiler]

"Okay." She does as instructed, concentrating.

[b] Lance smiles as he sees blue energy flowing up her arms.[/b] [i] Serena sees an 8 year old Lance, escaping a burning building, as the flames lick against his back, he screams in pain. He screams for his mom and dad, who are in the building. And he screams to the heavens that he will kill whoever did this.[/i] [b] Lance nudges Serena, breaking her concentration, a big smile on his face.[/b] "First try, that's really good. What'd you see?"

"A very. Very. Very. Intense. Movie scene."

"Well, that movie is from my past. What'd you see?"

"A burning building"

[b] Lance bites his bottom lip.[/b] ...What else?"

"The rest is a bit fuzzy.."

[b] Lance looks like he doesn't believe you, but lets it go.[/b] "Alright. How about we teach you some offense?"

"Okay. But is it supposed to be fuzzy on the first time around?"
-
"No. It's never supposed to be fuzzy. And I don't really believe you if we're being honest here. If you don't feel comfortable telling me what you saw, then that's ok."

"It's not that, it's as if, I don't know, I'm some how... Drained? I think the word is? Like I can move around and fight and stuff but I still feel a bit drained."

"It's your energy. Tempests have a limit. When you use your abilities to often, to hardly, it drains you. To regain your strength, you wait. Simply wait, and your energy returns. Whatever you do, know your limits. Don't exceed them."
