THREE OF COINS RESULTS
Hey! Let's see what these are worth, post your results and let's see if we can determine the most efficient number of these to use at one time.
I bought thirty Three of Coins, ran the Cerberus Vae strike and received two exotic engrams. I had 15 active before each ultra (taken gatelord, final boss.) Engrams were both for special weapons. Turned into Fourth Horseman and the Hereafter. How did you fair?

Edit: I did, in fact read the news. I know they said that each one is cumulative, but the item description says stackable. Stackable means you can stack them. The whole point of this post is to see what works out best. So if you used yours one at a time, what did you get? What was the exotic to coin ratio you achieved?
Edit 2: keep it coming guys, this is good information. I'm seeing a lot of people who use them one at a time, and get them on the third. Are there any others who have used on at a time and NOT gotten one after the fifth?
Edit 3: alright guys LOTS of good info here, it seems that the most common exotic to coin ratio when use one at a time is about 1:5

Conclusively, we all should be able to agree that Three of Coins is OP. So OP, that I think the nerf hammer of justice will be rather swift. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point Bungie takes these out of the game, or alters them so that actually stacking them into one use is what improves the chances, thus limiting the number of exotics players can achieve with minimum Strange Coin investment.
Basically, live it up now. This will end up being a "remember when." Happy farming, Guardians.

2 Hawkmoons, Alpha Lupi chest piece for my Titan and Immolation Gauntlets for the same....Three Coins worked okay for me....also got numerous legendarys drops and a ship...I used 3 coins at each strike..

Year 2 don't touch Me's and alpha lupi for my titan. Just got a legendary chest and exotic glove engram

1 ReplyI used 180 coins on draksis and took 19 engrams. Some of them I used one at a time, other up to 5 at a time. The average number of engrams per use seemed consistent no matter how I stacked them though. Got a lot of duplicates, lots of arm engrams. Had some good stuff though- jade rabbit, hawk moon, invective, 4th horseman, new ahamkara grips for hunter, new warlock chest... But my favourite is the zhalo supercell... That think is fvcking beast!

My results (average): For every 5 "The of Coins" I received 1 exotic engram. There were instances that I consumed more than 5 coins before receiving an engram, however, the overall average (in my case) was every 5 coins. My sample pool was 25 "Three of Coins" and I was awarded with 5 engrams: Primary Weapon, Auto Rifle Special Weapon, Sniper Helm Armor, Titan Gauntlets, Warlock Chest Armor, Titan From what I've read on forums, others have experienced +/- 1 or 2 compared to my results. If these results were to stay consistent, this is a pretty cheap way to farm exotics. 5 "Three of Coils" (or 1 stack) = 7 Strange Coins 25 "Three of Coins" / 5 "Three of Coins" per stack = 5 stacks purchased 5 stacks * 7 Strange Coins per stack = 35 Strange Coins 35 Strange Coins / 5 engrams attained = 7 Strange Coins per engram Quite a bit cheaper than Xur's engrams. However, more time consuming to farm Ultras than to buy straight from Squid Face. Hope you had as good if results as I did.

4 RepliesOK here's my results. I bought 5 coins at first, went through them, then logged off for about an hour. Came back and bought 10 more, so 15 total. These were all on the Scourge of Winter mission. One coin per run. run 1: nothing run 2: nothing run 3: nothing run 4: nothing run 5: nothing run 6: exotic special engram run 7: nothing run 8: nothing run 9: nothing run 10: nothing run 11: rare (blue) heavy engram run 12: nothing run 13: nothing run 14: nothing run 15: nothing (I ran once more without any coins just to see if I'd get lucky) run 16: nothing The one exotic that I managed to get was a Telesto (I hate fusion rifles). Considering that I've NEVER received an exotic engram from a random drop before I suppose that's an improvement. (I did score one exotic from a legendary engram once but that was it) But from a return on my investment perspective, I ended up paying 21 strange coins for an exotic fusion rifle that I'll never use. Can't say that I'm impressed with the results. Unsure at this point if I'm even going to bother trying it again, seeing how this ended up being a complete waste of time for me.

2 RepliesOut of 35 I got (In Order) Voidfang Vestments Taikonaut 4th Horseman Crest of Alpha Lupi (Titan) 4th Horseman Telesto (ORB MACHINE WITH NS + LotP!!!) Don't Touch Me So I'd say about a 20% chance. Atleast based on mine.

Used 50 and got a total of 12 engrams. All used 1 at a time on Draksis. Some engrams have not been decoded (passing to other 2 characters just playing as titan right now) and I got the super cell, new suros, inmost light, 3x 14 helms, alpha lupi for Hunter and for titan, and the warlock gloves Xur is selling ( forget the name )

2 RepliesLately I've been using them 5 at a time. After I get the vanguard buff in the strike playlist is when I activate it. I activate 5 & so far it's been working for me. Got 4 exotics today from doing that. At first I was doing it once per strike, wasn't working at all. I've gotten, here after, HawkMoon year 2, crest of alpha lupi ( twice ) 5 is working for me.
