THREE OF COINS RESULTS
Hey! Let's see what these are worth, post your results and let's see if we can determine the most efficient number of these to use at one time.
I bought thirty Three of Coins, ran the Cerberus Vae strike and received two exotic engrams. I had 15 active before each ultra (taken gatelord, final boss.) Engrams were both for special weapons. Turned into Fourth Horseman and the Hereafter. How did you fair?

Edit: I did, in fact read the news. I know they said that each one is cumulative, but the item description says stackable. Stackable means you can stack them. The whole point of this post is to see what works out best. So if you used yours one at a time, what did you get? What was the exotic to coin ratio you achieved?
Edit 2: keep it coming guys, this is good information. I'm seeing a lot of people who use them one at a time, and get them on the third. Are there any others who have used on at a time and NOT gotten one after the fifth?
Edit 3: alright guys LOTS of good info here, it seems that the most common exotic to coin ratio when use one at a time is about 1:5

Conclusively, we all should be able to agree that Three of Coins is OP. So OP, that I think the nerf hammer of justice will be rather swift. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point Bungie takes these out of the game, or alters them so that actually stacking them into one use is what improves the chances, thus limiting the number of exotics players can achieve with minimum Strange Coin investment.
Basically, live it up now. This will end up being a "remember when." Happy farming, Guardians.

I used about 100 3oCs (140 strange coins). Exotic engrams found: 8 helmets 5 gauntlets 4 chest pieces 2 special weapons 1 primary 20% success rate. Definitely worth it.

How many months did it take before they tweaked Necrochasm? Since this issue is actually in the players favor, it'll probably take a week or less to fix.

I only bought five, because I bought stupid helmet engrams first :| regret that now. But I got an exotic on the third and another on the fifth. Sadly, they were both don't touch me. :|

Cosmo said maybe the Nine will be glad your blowing them all now... This worries me :0 what if they change them to be more expensive just because of the people who kept killing that one boss. But, just a tip. If you need/want Gunsmith rep/relics, that boss on Venus is actually really good for it. You can get through the mission pretty fast to since you can run buy everything. I got like 3 or 4 from him.

Been using them one at a time on gate lord since standing next to draksis and hitting him with a rocket when he was at almost no health kept killing him and not me. 1 Suros 2 supercells 3 warlock claws gauntlets 1 Titan crest of alpha 2 hunter crest of alpha 1 new Hunter helmet can't remember name, shade step one 1 invective 1 hotpf 1 star fire protocol 1 knucklehead Have about 60 more three coins left

2 RepliesHad a 290 Monte Carlo and the new Warlock gauntlets after about 15 ToC. I haven't tried to properly farm them though. The past 5 or so have been used in Court of Oryx an I haven't had anything drop yet, just blues.

Da fuk lol 15 coins active?? U only need 1.. the stackable effect only works when u used one and u did not get an engram and u use another coin for next ultra then it stacks.. what a waste of coins lol

Incredibly nerf the drop rate so that it takes about 1 in 15 to get anything. 3. Make them stack where you basically need to use a whole package on one ultra to stand a chance at getting an exotic. I think the first one is reasonable, seeing as the other two seem to favor people who can buy a crazy amount of them because they have a ton of strange coins. This way people could buy from Xur like before TTK and also stand a few chances at getting another exotic or two each week. I just think it's crazy that some people have almost all of the Y2 exotics by farming them with ToC 3 days into the update
