The hive kings can't die for good outside of their sword realm, and even in their sword realms they have ways to come back.

True although Oryx decided to make the Court his first line of defense. I don't think he has a sword realm (anymore), but he seems bound to his throne room in present time.

According to the XLI: Dreadnaught Grimoire card, the Dreadnaught is Oryx's sword realm, so his death there is his actual death. Therefore he must've done something else with his sword after we killed him. Otherwise he'd be permanently dead.

I thought it was obvious he took himself, he was laughing as it was happening then he musta came back to the Dreadnaught to finish the job
