I bought the movie fast and furious 7. the directors cut was added to my Blu Ray player but I didn't buy it. Now for some reason I can't watch the last half of the movie I paid for. They restricted my access to the last half of the movie because I didn't buy the new content.

It makes perfect sense. Bungie added content to our xbox that we didn't buy. This is why i have a giant empty space where a planet should be. They then removed our ability to play content we had bought. Such as a control only Playlist or a strike Playlist. The example I used involves adding additional movie content, and removing half the movie for anyone that doesn't buy the content. Sorry you can't understand the analogy.
