As a general rule, players will only be able to access the content that they own the license for. Features like “Gameshare” are not supported by Bungie. This is subject to Platform policy. Here are some helpful links to learn about how content is shared across the different platforms on which you can play Destiny.

This isn't quite an answer. Do I need to buy 2 copies of TTK for both my wife and I to play? Do I have to buy both prior dlc again to make sure both profiles have a license to be able to even purchase TTK? Why did this get changed? Who thought it was a good idea? This doesn't seem like your treating your player base very well. Still waiting on response.

Edited by IreTheTiger: 9/17/2015 1:01:39 PMIf I may interpret this legalese, as much as I can tell unless otherwise stated: Each player, regardless of location or console must have a license to play destiny as their primary account. A license is granted only upon buying at the least the $40 version of the game. If a family of 4 all play destiny they need to have 4 licenses per primary account. Sub account are for 7 to 17 yo and I think destiny is rated above this(?), so maybe this is why they did this and not an explicit attempt to extort money from their userbase... (Sarcasm)Yeah that's it! Ratings are forcing them to double dip and charge twice!(/sarcasm)

Destiny is rated T so it's not above 17 years.

Wow... one of the blandest answers I have ever heard in my life. Bungie, you are the greatest gaming company in history, but you tend to completely forget your players don't have an unlimited bank account. PLEASE stop exploiting your fans!
-
So what does that mean
-
My point. Not trying to be a jerk, I don't hate Bungie, just trying to get a answer I can understand, but to no avail.
-
Still waiting on a real answer to this issue. Two days strong now.

It's kind of sad actually. Those answer without really answering just make it all the more suspicious. Digital download add on was hard to find, all the other "Glorious" "Superduper" "Much Wow" were all right there. Bro bought the $80 edition, I haven't played TK on my GT yet, I think I can? meh, will figure this out in a bit.

Edited by wickedwahine808: 9/17/2015 1:26:53 AM@BNG So if I OWN TK and all prior Destiny on my /our console, there should be no issues for other family members to access it, right? Don't drag this, just answer a simple question, please. You keep posting Xbox and PS agreements.

This is the same BS response I've seen on similar threads. This does not help. I would at least like to hear a solid "No, you cannot play TTK on sub-accounts. Each account must own their own copy of The Taken King." If this is your stance, Bungie, you will lose a very loyal customer. I have children that play my copies of games. I will never buy more than one copy per household of any game. The concept of that is absolutely ludicrous. Furthermore, I will never buy another Bungie game if this is to become your normal practice.

I agree with your comment. Yes or no would be helpful. I've never heard the term gameshare before. We have multiple people in one house, all too poor to buy their own console lol. (Also not enough gaming time to warrant multiple consoles)
About My home Xbox Overview The first time you sign in on an Xbox One and save your password, that console becomes your home Xbox. Your home Xbox allows you to do the following: Share games and downloadable content purchased from the digital store with anyone else who signs in on your console. You can even share games downloaded as part of a subscription. Share your Xbox Gold subscription with anyone else who signs in on your console. You can also play downloaded games while traveling, or, in the event of a network or service outage, on your home Xbox. You'll need to ensure that your console is set as your home Xbox before you go offline. To learn more, see Using Xbox One offline. If you have more than one Xbox One console, or if you sign in on multiple consoles, we recommend you designate the most frequently used console as your home Xbox.
This has me so confused.

Thank you for the "Answer" post but it's nice to put it in lay language.
The first time you sign in on an Xbox One and save your password, that console becomes your home Xbox. Your home Xbox allows you to do the following: Share games and downloadable content purchased from the digital store with anyone else who signs in on your console. You can even share games downloaded as part of a subscription. Share your Xbox Gold subscription with anyone else who signs in on your console.
So please clarify. If all family members have, Xbox in this case, as their home console, this should not be an issue to all take turns playing TK, right? Sorry, not the sharpest tool in the shed and although I don't have this issue, I've tried to help others who are crying in despair on the forums.

So can you share TTK on xbox one but not 360?
-
? No idea. I'm not Bungie and all these answers are vague and relating to Microsoft and Sony terms of use, makes me feel like an idiot, lol.
