Wow, who has paid you £20 for second-hand base Destiny?
You're not really stinking the finger up at Bungie at all, you've really just stiffed some punter who I assume doesn't know what they're doing, and has just subsidised you.
Only way to get a message over is to not buy the expansion (at least until the price tag is sorted), which is what I'm reluctantly doing.
I've enjoyed the game, and consider I've had great value out of it, but as long as people over here pay these inflated prices, they're part of the problem - not just victims of it.

You are right, but I can't imagine people getting together in any significant number to boycott the DLC. And anyone that knows Bungie - and we all do - know that they won't back down (look at the court case of their composer last week. What assholes). For instance - You're doing it, but what have you done to spread the word How have you enticed others to do the same? How many are in your group of non-buyers? And yeah, I really AM sticking the finger up to Bungie. They now sell one copy LESS of Destiny, thanks to my efforts. The punter that paid £20 for it, yes, I'm sorry for them - but it's an eBay auction, I didn't 'stiff' anyone. I put it on for 99p, and had no control over the price beyond that. I do feel bad for the guy in honesty (and maybe I'll be in touch and help him in-game to make myself feel better about it) but it's his fault if he didn't shop around.

I'm not suggesting I form an organised boycott, I'm saying that each individual has their choice - plenty complain, but pay anyway. Do Bungie care if you happily pay vs if you reluctantly pay? (And it's not just Bungie, let's be honest). It's market forces. More individuals should consider not buying at that price. It's what economists call price elasticity of demand. I don't see how they've sold one less copy. You still bought the new package (or did I misunderstand?). What's more, the guy who bought Destiny off you will probably get hooked and buy TTK at some point, so in fact you've actually helped sell another :) And when I said you "stiffed" this other guy - ok that may have been the wrong term, I wasn't suggesting you've intentionally conned them, (and on eBay especially caveat emptor) - but you have to suspect that someone paying £20 is probably not too clued up about what they've bid for (probably some naïve old granny buying as a gift!).
