I can't understand how getting up close and shotgunning someone is a crutch but hiding on the edge of a map and sniping from a great distance where your nice and safe isn't a crutch man up and get in the mix of the battle

I think his point is that Snipers have a big bright red light on them pointing them out. Occasionally, I'll get blindsided by a Shotgunner because I didn't see him, but if he had a bright red -blam!-ing light on his gun, I'd have seen him. Either way, I couldn't care. I'm a good Sniper. It doesn't bother me.
