The Rift is a slight distraction?
I'd like to see you get to 12k points in under 2 minutes without it.

So what you're saying is.... your team absolutely, horribly sucked? I'm not saying that the Rift is solely about the Rift. Because it's not. But the fact you can farm No Mercy medals in under 2 minutes per match kinda proves that it is more than just a "slight distraction".

I'm saying, that if there is an objective, and you can win without playing the objective, it is not an objective based game mode. It is TDM with optional objectives.
