Those items are no longer required for the new husk of the pit. Just do the normal killing of the hive and get the drop from hard mode.

What if i have the two items in my inventory? Any uses for an orb or rune in the future?

Orb likely will have no use unless you can trade it in to eris. The black hammer rune is too early to speculate.

Its okay. My friend already had a crux but never got a husk. Spent 10 minutes helping him farm and he finally got it. I had the same fear for him but I inspected the husk and the upgrade node did not say it required Eris's item. Likely will still need the crux for the ally though.
