My first time playing destiny since the dark below was Monday and I beat skolas 3rd try. I don't understand why everyone thinks he is hard.

I think that's OP's point. No crota completions, no skolas completion = he doesn't want that person in his TTK raid fireteam. If someone couldn't best those events.... How will they succeed at taking down Oryx... I won't be this way, but I do understand his point.

It's because you posses an innate amount of skill. It's embarrassing how many have not.

I beat him first try and that was a very emotionally draining hour. And it was miserable.

That's how I'd describe it as well. I'd jump in to help some friends if they needed a 3rd, but I wouldn't go looking to run it again on purpose.

Exactly. It wasn't fun at all and at the end I was glad it was over not that I beat him.
