So I know you want numbers but I don't know that sorry. But yes level is just for equipping items and light determines damage output and damage taken, but generally the higher level needed to equip items leads to higher light levels. So they are separate now but still positively correlate with each other. At least that is how it appears to me.

  • Yeah... That's what I got out of the streams and articles so far. High numbers = better. I'm just trying to figure out why and how exactly. I like knowing the maths. It's a motivator for me to try to attain better gear. Thanks for the reply! /:)

  • I do know that at 171 light you can attack the 190 light wolves on Mars but with 170 you cannot do it appears you have to be within 19 light to attack an enemy

  • Ah! See, that helps a bit. I haven't even had a chance to go to Mars yet. Finished the download yesterday late and just hit crucible and the raid with peeps before I had to crash. At work now. Noted, thanks! /:)
