Bungie released this information in the Patch Notes. Field Scout now only allows you to carry the maximum amount of ammo whilst keeping the same mag size. Extended Mag allows for, well, a slightly extended mag size.

So if you have an armor piece that says 'carry more ammo for pulse rifles' does it stack? So you get the max ammo for the field scout perk plus more for the 'carry more ammo' perk?

I would imagine they've taken that into consideration, so I'm guessing it'll stack.
