Anybody else prefer Peter Dinklage?
I was just wondering if anybody else also preferred Dinklage over North. What are your thoughts?

I have nothing against Nolan North. I like him as Drake in the Uncharted games (and would have probably preferred if he sounded more like that as the Ghost). But I absolutely preferred Peter Dinklage as the Ghost and I was disappointed that they replaced him. I've been replaying some of the old missions to watch the cutscenes with the Nolan North dialogue and I just keep thinking that it's okay but I preferred the way that Dinklage did it. So far, the scene where I missed him the most was the one where you meet the Exo Stranger and the player calls the Ghost "Little Light," to which the Ghost responds, "Don't do that." I loved the way that Peter Dinklage delivered that line, and by comparison, North's version is only second-best.

3 RepliesI thought Dinklebot was okay to begin with. But as soon as I heard Nolandroid I saw how much better he is at the role. It's still not his best performance but I don't think either actor is to blame, it's probably just a bad script. Nolandroid reminds me of 343 guilty spark, so even if he didn't hear any of Dinklebots work he might have used the guilty spark as a reference

I wish there was an option to switch between them, because Dinklage would be getting my vote every single time. Peter sounded way more convincing in my opinion, he did well with the script he was given.

Definitely prefer dinklebot, it's just doesn't sound right without him!!! At least North didn't shout at me at the Archon Priest tho!!!

Super disappointing. The curious prepubescent teen tone is just awful. Dinklebot was a much more convincing, cynical sidekick... I mean this is a pro midget vs. A mere mortal in my eyes lol

1 ReplyNolan North is one of the two best voice actors in gaming today. He's been absolutely fantastic in everything else he's done. Peter Dinklage is an incredibly talented actor. The fact that this community has had so many complaints for both Ghost voices is indicative of a poor script in my opinion.

I'm not sure what a tiny automaton born from a large sphere with space magic should sound like, but Dinklage never bothered me. I don't think the ghost should be so chipper, its a mechanical/mysterious being. Something about Dinklage's tone seemed to fit that for me. The script doesn't give any actor much to work with.

yes this voice is terrible . Im sure that bungie asked him to do the voice this way as he is normally an excellent voice actor
