Didn't they start banning this a couple weeks or so back when it was making the forum rounds?

I was not on the Forum, so I have no idea. What I can say is that I noticed it was starting around June to come up as an issue. Took me a while to figure out what they were doing. As it is not intuitive, being they were acting like lag switchers without going red bar on the network indicator. A player in the forum reading one of my other posts on the Dynamics of lag... wrote me a private message asking me to address the MTU issue. After playing crucible on or around 7/31 I noticed a dramatic increase in the use of this tactic. This last week, well it is hard to find a match without at least one player in the lobby abusing this tactic. So I wrote the post, if they did start banning this a couple of weeks ago the news has not made it to the crucible atmosphere, as yesterday in close 20 matches, 14 had a member on the opposing team doing it. In another article a guy has asked me to address the dedicated servers issue in a thread and that will be the next topic. Honestly, I don't read the forum much, only use it to communicate with Bungie being this is their process instead of a trouble ticket system. Take Care.

read the news articles Bungie puts out on weekly basis to learn about what is happening in Destiny.

And I'm sure the news article told everyone what was going on, I learn what is happening by actually playing and seeing what is happening. Reading the Bungie updates don't always talk about what is going on, most of the time it is dumb items like changing the color of the ball in the tower... But I'm glad you think reading that news article solves the issue.

But you didn't even know that a ton of people got banned for MTU. Its a pretty big thing to overlook. Thousands of people were banned. It just happened literally 4 weeks ago.

Good, but people are still doing it. I'll read the article but that doesn't change the fact it is happening now. Still. This was to explain to people that don't know what is going on, what is happening and to report it if they see it. It also is stating that bungie needs to set a min requirement. Thanks for the info, I'll read it.

They are risking getting banned... All power to them. I will continue to report cheaters and laggers.

That's the point of the post, so everyone knows what it looks like and can report it....

Yep thanks for the post
