"Destined to Flop"
Because it doesn't have a server browser?
1. We don't know for sure if they will include a server browser or not
2. The skill-based matchmaking will not necessarily match you so you have high latency. They may make it so you're matches with skilled players in your area.
3. Even with server browser in games, I've had latency because of one person.
You're making a lot of assumptions, and not having a server browser is in no way, shape, or form, game breaking.
0/10 thread.

1) Yes we do. 2) Matchmaking is NEVER good, let alone as miraculous as you seem to think it'll be. 3) One person can't affect your internet entirely, you just had shit connection or shit Internet.
-
1. Proof? 2. And how would server browser be any better, might I ask? 3. Try saying that again when you're having a perfect game then some dude connects from China with 999 ping. Happens to me all the time, and several other people I've talked to.

If you join a server that you lag a lot on, it's either your fault for picking a server you're having issues connecting to or your internet is simply shit. 3) I play on a server based in the U.S.A. that has regulars from Brazil, Japan and Russia with pings ranging from 200 to 600 average and run an average of 298 fps. (CS:S server).

Edited by Jphn_33: 10/2/2015 6:30:13 PM1. Okay cool, thanks. Now what do you propose we do with this number spot? 2. I'll give you that one 3. I guess it has to do with how good the servers are. My most notable drops in performance when a player with high ping joined was in Team Fortress 2 While yes, matchmaking may not be optimal, it still doesn't mean that the game is going to be the worst thing ever, as the OP implies.
-
It's not absolutely horrible, but matchmaking for this style of game is illogical.
-
I completely agree with that.
-
It was destined to be a flop even before the server browser announcement.
-
No it'll be successful
-
I'm simply saying that it won't be a flop solely because of no server browser, as this thread is Impling.

Did you read the whole thread? No server browser, SBM is another mistake, it's confirmed from an official source. It's going to be a shell of game on release, SBM doesn't work for remote areas. Connection quality should always be the priority...

Edited by Jphn_33: 9/5/2015 7:52:12 PMI did read the entire thread, thank you for making sure I did. SBM isn't bad if it is done right. We don't know how good their server will be, or how things will work on their end. We have no way of knowing. And to be fair, any online experience is bad for people in remote areas.
