A gaming PC does not need to be expensive at all even to compete with modern consoles. But to have a truly better experience, you want high end graphic mods, a 3d monitor, an oculus rift and all the controllers!!!

This is true, you can spend roughly the same amount of money on building a pc as it would cost you to buy a console, and it will still run the games at 1080p 40 to 50 fps and play at a higher graphics setting, case and point: [url]http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6Mq8gs[/url] For $425 bucks this machine absolutely crushes either the ps4 or xb1 and costs the same amount as a console after taxes.
