I have to work that day. As a contractor if I don't work I don't get paid, no holidays or sick leave. Sucks, but that's how it is for a lot of people now. Also my wife would lose her shit if I took a day of to play a video game. Lol. Mortgage, bills, kids, etc all take priority. All nice things to have but it comes with sacrifices.
