That's what I heard. I don't think the damage needs to be nerfed necessarily, just the range that they're able to chain to enemies. Right now if they throw one anywhere near you it chains to you.

Firebolt doesn't chain. Arc bolt does though

You can hit multiple enemies with fire bolt. I don't necessarily mean chain I just can't think of another word to use. Basically the distance it can reach you from when the grenade doesn't hit you with direct impact. Currently if you throw one 8-10 feet or more away from someone it will reach over to them.

You'd almost be stupid not to. Its basically the grenade meta for hunters and warlocks. If you play trials you might encounter teams that spam your location with 3 bolt grenades. I'm not saying other grenades don't have their place, but you don't have to be accurate whatsoever with those.

I like throwing my firebolt where I know they will group up in so I can burn three people leaving em all one shot. The voidfang is awesome with that technique too

I've done that as well in trials. Got all three pretty easily considering the fire bolt melts so much of their life.
