The ships are nothing more than a fancy loading screen. Maybe when the old gen consuls are gone.

If they do this they can branch off and add ship combat, and its not a first timer if they do, because it wouldn't be any different then if you were to shoot a friend in a Banshee. Yeah I'm hoping for Destiny 2 to have something like this.
