  • Because it's not a real addition to difficulty, it's just another arbitrary difficulty modifier that will get easier in the next expansion. Crota got easier 43%(10% from better weapons, 33% from level) easier, Skolas will get 33%+ (unknown weapon modifier, and level mod) easier, Atheon is at most 20% weaker right now, and that's because of the weapon scale. End game content shouldnt go from insane difficulty to a cake-walk in just one expansion. It's lazy, boring, and lets face it: we know bungie can do better.

  • Thank you for the insult, it shows the enormous grasp of your mind. I am stating simply that it shouldnt BE an addition to difficulty. I would be perfectly content if they were simply 33% stronger than we were, but they tack that cheap ass number by their name, and when our next expansion comes in December, they're going to become easier simply because of that random number AND because of our better gear. It's a compounding difficulty, which means you're always either on par, horribly underpowered, or horribly overpowered. Because of how Bungie has designed their game and the method they use to deploy additional levels, we will never be Overpowered. And once we're on par, the fights will be so easy they'll be a joke just like Hard mode Crota.

    Clearly I think you don't have a firm grasp of this concept being used in every RPG out there, which Destiny takes elements from. It is only [i]natural [/i]that with more expansions you will become a higher level with better armor and weapons, making previous raids easier. It is only natural that the more experience you gain and better equipment you get, the easier hard things become. Wtf do you expect to happen? It always being the same level of difficulty as your level forever? That the challenge is ONLY how many bullets enemies take to kill? More powerful enemies are what make a challenge a challenge. Harder situations is what makes a challenge a challenge. It's triumph over adversity. If you were on equal footing as them it wouldn't be much of a challenge and you're never meant to be STUCK being challenged by them. You're meant to move PAST enemies until the next more challenging one(s) arrive. You're just being a cynic.

  • Yes I do, and I have yet to encounter an MMO where the prior expansion's end-game content becomes a soloable cake-walk literally 10 minutes into the current build. Maybe you should MMO?

  • Yet you still know nothing about this new raid that you haven't seen or played at all and neither has anybody else. You're making assumptions based solely on past experiences (and FYI, you can't solo VoG). Besides, if they actually were cake-walks, then we'd all be soloing them, which statistics prove we don't.

    My Deathknight can easily solo 100 dungs in wow... He is lvl 100. What more MMO can you get than WoW the god of all MMOs Heck whenever pandaria came out some people could solo Cata raids. And my 70 twink mage could solo MC and blackwing lair, other than the egg boss. and if you want to compare normal/hard raids to wows lfr/normal/heroic/mythic I would have to say normal raids are like lfr in wow and hard raids are like normal raids in wow

  • Destiny is not an MMO. 3-player co-op is not an MMO. Very little correlation.

  • There is 6 people in a raid in destiny, and its a fps/mmo style hybrid. You use interesting mechanics to fight supernatural bosses that take Teamwork and coordination to complete. except instead of the fighting style of most mmo s you are using guns in destiny

  • Right now 2 raids across the board. No 6-player content introduced since January. Not MMO. 3-player coop is the norm, 6 is the MINOR exception. And if you say that 6 players is massive, then we have another issue - and I'll defer to Madden 2015 being over twice as large of an MMO (accomplishments that must be grinded for, 11 player co-op in either PvE or PvP, etc...).

  • I care because this kind pf practice is horrible for the longevity of the game! This whole setting and resetting every expansion is what will kill this game, not any other game, not any content or lack there of. It's the 'We're just gunna throw away the last 3 months completely with this new expansion' The game is small enough as it is, we cannot afford to hemorrhage what little content we already have.

    I'm thinking to myself here, why would I want to do a raid 6-10 levels below me for gear that is weaker than what I will have in 2 weeks? I never do that in MMOs, so why would I want to do it here? Your complaining makes no sense. It's an artificial sense of needing to preserve that which does not need preserving for your experience in the game. If it's [i]too small[/i] for you then maybe what you really need is to go play MMOs instead.
