Balance depends on light yes, but the level differences will still exist. that 33% will be the same (admittedly unless they change that which that's something important and I cant imagine why they wouldn't have said anything) If balance depends soley on light, then why did bungie increase the level of Court of Oryx to 41?

That may be the case. However if that were the case, why even bother making things 'level 41' If they've reworked their leveling system, why screw around with more artificial difficulty that'll just go away in December?

Maybe they're level 41s to show you that your light should be higher. Like the 41 thrall have a higher defense and attack rating, but your level doesn't need to be 41 to deal Mac damage to them

That would be an interesting turn of events, but I dont think bungie has said anything about a correlation between level and expected light, so if level 41 meant they didnt have the gear to compete, how much gear do they need..?

If you watch planet destiny's court of oryx video he shows that even as level 40 guardians, you get stomped by tier 2 court of oryx enemies when your light level is at 200. This is because the recommended light against the level 41 enemies is 240. This leads me to believe that the entire level system is scrapped in order to make progression more steady. Rather than getting an immediate boost from getting shit on to being able to take out enemies no problem, there will be a gradual and noticeable increase in power. I don't think character level matters at all anymore, other than gaining access to higher light activities. Just a as a guide to show you that your light at a lower level probably isn't going to be enough
