Carried out by multiple individuals. Try single assailant.
-
if you divide it up with each assailant, round it to 28 each one got 3.5 kills and plenty of injuries enough deaths to go around
im in a dark mood
-
3.5 does not equate to mass. Needs 4 or more. Knives still don't have same capacity as firearms.

Edited by pyro: 8/31/2015 12:28:29 PMyoure right, they have more. lets be realistic,if that had happened with guns theyd have to carry over 150 bullets(not counting misses) AND after the first shot everyone in the area would know. guns are limited to how many bullets you have, knives with a smart mind however aren't nearly as limited.
also,SOMEONE had to have gotten 4 in there. 3.5 isn't possible.
Edited by Dieselrose: 8/31/2015 12:42:13 PMThey have more potential and capacity? So you are saying low energy injuries are now more deadly than high energy/cavitation injuries? As you pointed out each on of those attackers averaged 3.5 kills. How many rounds does an average magazine carry, in say a handgun? A rifle? You are right. For 1 person to do as much damage as what occurred in the incident in question you would need a fair amount of ammunition. In Norway 1 gunman killed over 70 people. In Australia, how many were killed in port Arthur by a single gunmen? Knives do not have the same potential or capacity. A knife wound does not and will not EVER inflict the damage caused by a cavitation wound. It is obvious that you have very little knowledge or experience in such matters by the claim you have made. If you would like I can quite easily go into detail in regards the injuries caused by a knife compared to those of a firearm. Seeing as I am now into my 12 year of military service, and seeing as I am qualified as a rifle company medic, infantry section/recon patrol medic, amongst other things I will take GREAT joy in drowning you with facts, wisdom and reality. But before we move onto that, please continue to tell me the potential and capacity of a knife, and how it is superior to that of a firearm. I am all ears.

Edited by DarthAWM: 8/31/2015 11:38:37 AMI guess this means Columbine doesn't count as a mass killing as there were multiple assailants.
-
Sit down squirt. 4 or more victims equates to mass shooting. The OP's point is that guns will always have the potential and capacitor to kill more than a knife or other object. These idiots being up an incident as if to prove him wrong.
-
Op asked when the last mass murder occurred with a blade, many recent examples cropped up. * sips Lipton iced tea. But that's none of my business.
