Guys we need to work together on this. With something saying to worship the darkness and bow down, what could it be? Only the Vex and Hive are the truly Dark forces, besides the Darkness itself.

The lamp is home. The Vex cores are luminescent. They hold light in a way. The Hive have large lamps riddled throughout their cave systems.

In general this being's species is advanced, however it remains the same in some way. -OR- 2. This being stays the same form while others of its kind progress into a higher being than itself

must be hive. The riddle clearly points to something that is part of the hive hierarchy.

Both Hive and Vex have similar chance here. A hierarchy is simply a system with ranks. A monarchy is with kings, if you were thinking of Oryx being a king and Crota being a prince above the other princes that make the sword or Crota.
