This is a very well though out, and articulate post. Only problem is, Bungie has said that all exotic armor and gear will be ascend able to the new attack values. There are only some that are able to ascend immediately, but more will be added with time.

True. I'm aware that as of right now, it's not really an issue. Pretty much everything right now is ascending. But I'd figure I'd make a point as to why this trend should continue for several years or so. Just because.
