I don't see any of that as a lie. It seems like they got the feedback, acknowledged it and disregarded it. I mean, that's not great but they didn't say "all your gear will be viable forever"

Nope. Deej is kinda douchey. However he's smarter than you people. If you seriously think gear ascension was up to Deej, you're probably lucky to have survived your own stupidity this long. When has any spokesperson for any company ever made any decisions? He just reads the goddamn script. If you're upset, aim it at the developers.

You seem to be misinterpreting me, so I'll try to slow it down for you. I am also not fond of Deej. However, being of sound mind, I realized he is a spokesperson and a buffer between the forums and the developers. Once you've realized that, it begins to become clear that he doesn't make the decisions and he doesn't even write his own scripts. He did not lie because he did not say your weapons will remain viable forever. He basically said "we know you want them to remain viable forever". No promises were made, and thus none were broken. He is a puppet. Find someone else to be mad at because you're all beating your heads against a wall right now. Be mad at Activision if you really want to, or Bungie. If you REALLY need more help beyond this, PM me. It's getting embarrassing out in the open like this.

hmm nope it was lie. They already had TTK planned out as he was writing it... Now maybe someone lied to DeeJ and now he looks bad, but still the community deserves an explanation and apology.
