Have you checked the disk for any physical issues, like scratches, smudges, or cracks? 'Transferring content' is usually copying the game files from the physical disk. Try cleaning the game disk and see if it gets any farther in the install. If that doesn't work, is there anybody you could borrow a Destiny disk from temporarily to see if another disk gets stuck at the same spot?

  • That sounds like a different problem if you're getting error codes, and not getting the 1.9 update. Is your install on that specific console getting stuck on a message that says "transferring game content"?

  • How many Destiny discs do you have? Or are you using the digital version of the base game on all of your consoles?

  • The two error codes look like PS download errors trying to get the patches. That might be different than "transferring game content" stalling in the same spot. How is the console getting those PS error codes connected to your home network? If you are using wireless, is the problem console in the same room as your other consoles? Are you using static IP/DNS assignments on your consoles, are do they get those settings from your router/modem? Is there any port forwarding or port range trigger configured in your router? Do you have any DLNa media servers running, either on the router/modem or as a stand-alone device? Most of the suggestions I'm seeing for those errors are checking your DNS server settings, and turn off any media servers while your trying to download/install. I don't have a playstation so I haven't run into those errors myself. Generally, you could try to minimize what else is on your network while you try to get the patches. Even if you're using a wired connection to your router for that console, turn off any devices you don't need that connect to your router/network. TV's, phones, tablets, A/V receivers, move players, etc. just to test if the update/install behaves any differently.

Ive tried wired and wireless ... same room and another room and nothing Are you using static IP/DNS assignments on your consoles, are do they get those settings from your router/modem? Ive tried static and automatic from both router and modem wired and wireless and still nothing Is there any port forwarding or port range trigger configured in your router? Port forwarding is off or whatever the modem is set for Do you have any DLNa media servers running, either on the router/modem or as a stand-alone device? All media servers have been on and off with router/modem and stand alone I did try and only have the 1 ps3 on the connection and still nothing

  • Do you have separate devices for the router and modem, or is it all-in-one? If you have two devices, what kind of internet do you have? DSL modems are often routers as well, and if they aren't in "bridged" mode, you end up having two devices doing NAT. If you have cable, generally the modem is only a bridge device, but that isn't universal as some cable modems will also do routing/wireless/NAT. Generally, you want to try UPnP turned on at your router, set the console to DHCP, and turn off any port forwarding first. Check what DNS settings your console is getting. If you have a modem and a router, you could try plugging the console directly into the modem and turn off wireless on the console. You might need to restart the modem to get an internet connection. Are the hard drives on PS3 the 2.5" laptop drives that can be removed? If so, I suppose you could try pulling the hard drive from the console that you can't update on and put it into one of the other consoles and see if the install will finish.

  • I have cleaned the disk as well, sorry I forgot to put that. There are no scratches on it that I can see. I think borrowing someone elses maybe the best next thing I have to go on. Thanks
