You guys are complaining but you don't know what you want. You're just complaining just to complain.
Me? I like Destiny. And the new stuff looks interesting. If you're always complaining about how Bungie lets everyone down and everything is garbage then leave and stop playing the game. No one is keeping you here.
This quote right here. There are plenty of games out there that aren't Destiny. I don't get why people "know" they're going to hate the game but they spend money on it anyways. What's the logic behind that? Why spend money on something you hate that you don't even have to buy?
And I've read people call the new bosses "just more bullet sponges" and I've read people say that the new bosses "were taken down too quickly."
......which is it?
And I've read people call the new bosses "just more bullet sponges" and I've read people say that the new bosses "were taken down too quickly." ......which is it?
They are one in the same. There doesn't seem to be any true tactic to the boss fight - the y just soak up a few bullets and die.
Bullet sponge doesn't always mean that it takes too much time to kill.
Yeah except for the multiple stages to the fight, both bosses having different attacks, one in your face the other a long range bombardment, and finally when one dies the other inherits his fallen brothers mechanics. Yeah nothing new here just bullet sponges.

Just gonna ignore the other dude. Probably isn't satisfied with anything ever. I, for one, am looking forward to experiencing the strike for myself. Seems new and pretty exciting.

1 melee boss and 1 ranged boss at the same time doesn't constitute as a mechanic lol

I guess I'll go slower and expose upon what I'm saying. This fight starts with the melee boss pressing upon you and your strike team forcing you to adopt the strategy of keeping distance or swapping to close range weaponry. Mechanic 1 check. After you finish him boss 2 appears with orbital bombardment forcing you to switch tactics from avoiding melee to paying attention to trajectory of the bombs, the timing of their landing, and the positioning of their landing in all while trying to deal damage. Mechanic 2 check. Now the fun begins with boss bosses now forcing you to bounce between avoiding melee and bombardment, during this time both bosses show new twists, melee leaves an aoe solar damage in his wake and ranged boss creates a shield around himself forcing you to engage him up close on his terms. Mechanic 3,4,&5 check. And finally after defeating one boss the other adopts his brothers abilities. Now forcing you to deal with melee and bombardment in one entity. Mechanic 6 check. This boss battle has multiple steps each one changing up how you play and why. This is no Sepiks Prime just shoot and clear adds while he teleports to three spots. That's just the boss battle. I didn't even mention new enemies or the rooms that will change with each play through.

Edited by Psyntifik: 8/27/2015 5:44:59 PMSo what, avoid enemy fire and be careful of melee? Hmm...
Nah, in all seriousness, I agree this is a step in the right direction, and I hope they can keep it. But look how other games have been handling boss battles since even the early levels. But 1 year for a somewhat interesting Strike?
Yeah except they weren't at the same time they were staged. Then together. Then combined into one person. How is that not considered different mechanics?

In what way is it unique from fighting a melee mob, and then a ranged mob? Other than the obvious health/damage.
