1. I still think they have something planned for the old raids in the way of up-scaling them allowing you to upgrade Necrochasm/Vex/Elder Cipher weapons. Might just be blind hope but I have a hard time thinking they won't try to find a way to recycle this content, while keeping it relevant in regards to rewards.
To your point, why would I want to level down to play content that yields no rewards? If I was actively seeking that extra challenge then I could just equip some green gear and it's the exact same thing.
2. Just let them go. Bungie knows that you people are upset about this so there isn't a point in cluttering up the forums by regurgitating the same argument over and over
