Idea to make final round good but not op in PVP

So as we all know bungie is nerfing final round so it only activates on precision shots. But that makes the perk almost completely redundant in PvP. So I propose that bungie instead makes it so it activates only when all previous shots land on a target. This way, people can't unload into a wall all the time Comment below on thoughts :) Edit 1: don't forget to bump this if you agree to get more people to see this Edit 2: if you have possible changes/improvements you would like to share, feel free to post below. Edit 3: I'm trying to comment back as much as I can but I won't be able to comment back to everyone Edit 4: idea by ProBMFK also increase size of mags to make it more rewarding to actually get final round Edit 5: I'll be watching the TTK stream so I won't comment for a while (not really impressed) Edit 6: to everyone saying to learn to snipe I DO NOT HAVE A FINAL ROUND SNIPER this is purely to balance the perk out without making it near useless in PvP

  • I think it should be replaced with Luck in the chamber, that way I always want to aim for headshots, but can still get lucky with a body shot #TitanMasterRace

  • It should over penetrate on precision hits. You should be forced to get a precision hit. That makes sense. It's a sniper. You wanna pop body shots get a low impact high rate of fire anyway. Or just get a scout rifle.

      • Sniper rifles are built around headshots, and nothing should change that. It's a good PvE perk and that's enough.

          You shouldn't be promoting body shotting people with snipers, probably the only weapon that requires skill. Want a 1 shot kill? Get a headshot. Don't think I've ever said 'get good' to anyone on here before, but honestly...

          • I've said it before, the way to balance it is to make final round only count on the last round you're carrying as opposed to every single mag.

            • You did a better job of balancing this perk than Bungie. All they did was nerf it out of existence. You on the other hand came up with a viable solution.

              • I might be wrong on this, but I've not seen anyone survive a head shot from a sniper. So precision kills only with final round is pointless. It's a waste of a perk slot for PvP. It will obviously still be semi useful in PvE.

                • I think they should change it to luck in the chamber so the lucky bullet is not predictable so you can not just empty your mag

                  • Pretty sure they are nerfing it that specific way so that it becomes a useless perk. It's not available on post HoW snipers so why should it be allowed on any snipers? Plus final round users are scrubs.

                    • I think the nerf is fine the way it is. It's not supposed to be relevant in pvp, that's literally why they nerfed it. The final round is going to be more for pve, to reward players with a ton of extra damage for hitting that boss in the face. It'd be stupid otherwise. I have a final round sniper that I'll sometimes use in the crucible, but literally because it's a couple easy kills. I know it's overpowered, and I'm glad if the nerf because it actually makes sense.

                        Just like with other guns, make the reload all or nothing..I can't hit the ADS button half way through a hand cannon reload and get just a few bullets... If they keep final round, just make it to where if you reload a shotgun, you have to wait until the "clip" (really a reservoir) is full before you can shoot again

                            • I prefer that the perk should activate in any type of shot BUT its extra damage would be based on the percentual amount of precision shots you had already taken with that clip. So, shots to the wall: zero extra damage; Shots to chest: zero extra damage; 1/3 Precision shots: 1/3 extra damage... and so on.

                                  • I voted no because you shouldn't be able to 1 shot to the body no matter how you slice it. Someone before had a good idea that final round headshot would refill magazine

                                    • As someone who doesn't even snipe in PVP I think your idea is a really good one! It's definitely stop people from unloading down to the final round, which I think contributed a lot to people thinking the perk was OP.
