White is actually every color combined. So no, it's not a color.
By this I mean that it does not have it's own wavelength. The sun for example is white because it emits every visual wavelength of light.
So technically and scientifically speaking it is not a color, but we can still call it a color.
In addition I would like to say that white objects reflect/emit all colors, and black objects reflect/emit no colors. At least colors we can see.

So purple isn't a color because it's red and blue combined?

That's different. Purple is its own wavelength of light.

Technically isn't it a color since it contains all colors. It's just mixing to make a new color like yellow and orange making red.

No: Orange and Yellow make Yellow-Orange. Red has it's own wavelength.

You clearly don't understand. The colors have different wavelengths of light, white light is all colors of our visible spectrum combined.
