I'm looking for the answer to this too porting from PS3 to ps4 and would I need to buy dlc again

Basic game may need to be bought new, if you didn't get a digital version before 15th January 2015 (IIRC that was the dead line for the basic game, the digital upgrade offer got extended after that for the DLCs). TTK isn't included in the digital upgrade offer (shame on Bungie).

I got the season pass after January so I'll just need vanilla and TTK then that's fine by me
