I'm pretty stoked for everything that TTK is bringing in.
Weapon rebalance - check
Shitload of new weapons and armor - check
Ghost shells (with stats and perks) - check
Class items (with stats and perks) - check
Weapon foundries - check
New subclasses - check
New bounties - check
Guaranteed legendaries from rank ups - check
Etc etc etc.
I don't even care that some of my exotics aren't upgradable. I don't use 3/4 of them anyway.

The weapon balance is a little farcical really tho isn't it? Massive weapon balance many months too late, while releasing a shit load of new guns that will alter any balance before its even achieved!!
-
No, not really. Is it late? Sure. But it's a meta change. One the game was in dire need of and one many of us have been waiting for. Unless you're a big fan of the blink/shotgun/thorn meta we have now. Perfect balance is unattainable in Destiny. There's too many factors. All we can do is adapt to a new meta until it changes again.
-
Yes I fully agree "perfect" balance is unobtainable in a game with this many options. But close too it would be far more obtainable with small and often changes rather than large and infrequent ones. Especially with massive influxes of new stuff fairly often.
-
We agree on that point. Small and frequent is better than large and sudden. But that's not the route they took and there's nothing we can do to change that right now. Maybe, with enough community feedback, they'll alter their re balance schedule to something a bit more frequent and subtle.
-
Better late than too fast. Remember what they did to ARs! I'm glad they took their time.
-
The ar nerf was overkill. But excusing the time taken because of a previous mistake makes no sense. Balances should be small and often, keep the Meta constantly evolving rather than long periods of blatantly OP weapons.
-
You forgot new raid!
-
Indeed I did. Just shows how much shit there is gonna be to enjoy in TTK. It's almost too much lol.
-
Weapon rebalance check that makes weapons left behind that were nerfed useless
-
Except that it doesn't. Every weapon we use now will still be usable in game modes with level advantages disabled.
-
Yeah and what pve activity has level advantages disable
-
Doesn't matter. Adapt to a changing game world and get over it. Not trying to be combative here, that's real talk. New content and higher level activities render older gear irrelevant in nearly every single game that has increasing level progression. Did you use the first SMG you got from a boss kill in Borderlands to kill a raid boss? Was your starting weapon in Fallout relevant at later levels? Did you use your wooden sword all the way through the Legend of Zelda? No, no you didn't. This is an RPG. And this is how RPGs work. Either adapt, gather new gear, and destroy your enemies with shiny new toys, or be left behind to sob over your useless weapons. Or stop playing and buy a different game. Your choice.

In borderlands i can get a viable op8 version of ALL legendaries can i or can i -blam!-ing not, why bring a few exotics forward and leave some behind, either bring all forward or leave them, be -blam!-ing consistent
-
Edited by CHICKENSQUARE: 8/22/2015 7:29:29 AMAll legendaries are being left behind. As far as exotics, I imagine they decided that the most popular ones along with the least used ones deserved to be pushed forward (least used ones because they want people to give those ones a chance with the rebalance). Aside from Gjallarhorn of course. But I know exactly why that one is staying behind. As far as being consistent, they can do whatever they want. It's their game. It's up to us to decide whether or not it's worth continuing based on their decisions about the game.
