Did you construct a confidence interval for the data? No? Then you can't conclude anything. And where the different entries randomly selected?

Yes they were randomly picked from a forum post in the #Destiny section. And what the heck is a confidence interval? Are you suggesting I need to do like 300 nightfall recordings?
-
Pretty much. You could have data that is higher than the actuall average, or data that is lower. A confidence interval is an interval that you believe the true mean/probability of an event occurring is inside. So .38 of all your recorded drops being exotic could be below the probability or above he probability, or inside the interval.

Ah I see, I was suggested to do 300, but I simply didn't have the time to get 300 entries from my post, I was lucky I got 100 which is a third of it.

Oh, where's your nightfall data?
-
I'm not making a claim about the nightfall drops so I don't need data
-
So, if you don't have any nightfall data then you're just here to bitch because someone else compiled data?
-
No. I'm here to bitch about how bad his statistical inferences and data gathering was.
-
So compile your own data?
-
I'm not making a claim.

So you want to complain because someone worked hard and you don't necessarily agree with how they arrived at their conclusion, but you don't want to show them how to do it your way by providing your own information. Got it.
-
So you want to complain about how someone knows some statistics and you don't. Got it.

Wow you really missed what I was trying to do. It's unknown whether or not his claim is accurate, so he would need an interval. And the way data is gathered is incredibly important because bad gathering can give biased data. If he took the data from a post that was angry about the reward, he would be more likely to get people talking about how they got bad rewards.
