The countries of those regions have to unite and step up. We have to keep our ground forces out of it, because every time time we send troops worse shit happens later because we become to easy target of a scapegoating for groups like ISIS. We could fight 100 wars over there but it will mean nothing if those countries don't do anything to stabilize the area.

No -blam!- no anything but uniting them. Keep them separated and under the U.S. Control.
-
More groups like ISIS will just keep popping up.
-
So? There is shit load of them in Iraq
-
Because our influence over there created them indirectly because of the power vaccum we left behind. If the countries we aid over there would actually step up and fought those groups they wouldn't be as much of a concern. Sure you'll have nations that will pose potential threats, like Iran, but nations are easier to manage with sanctions and embargoes than millitia groups.

Iran is an ally not an enemy + the only country in their that is the most powerful and can make an army and control the Middle East is Iraq. The rest of them can't mange what Iraq can due to their population and how rich they are.
-
You mean like how Russia is an "ally"?
-
Russia is far from an ally as far as I know.
-
So is Iran. They don't like us because we support Israel.
-
We support them too, they never said that they don't like us and if you ask me, all their talks about how much they hate Israel is all bullshit.
-
Iran's leadership absolutely despises the US. Khamenei shares that every time he opens his mouth. While I'd argue that Iran could be a partner of sorts, do keep in mind that their interests hardly intersect with the US' in regards to IS -- they want to maintain their grip on Baghdad and preserve the Syrian supply route to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
-
Khomeini is dead, da faq are you talking about
-
Duh. I said Khamenei
-
You are special aren't you.
-
Is that how you deal with people when they show you that you're completely wrong?
-
No that's how I deal with people who can't prove shit or get a point across, just throwing shit left and right
-
Dispute my points then. I noted in response to your comment that Iran's leadership -- and make no mistake, Khamenei calls the shots -- despises the US. I then proceeded to list Iranian interests in the fight against IS, neither of which are in the US interest.
-
I know we do, but its more "we give you money and you don't try anything stupid."
-
Not at all the U.S. Never acts that way, we support them with weapons
-
Exactly.
