I haven't switched to it, i'm still on Windows 8 since it's working fine for me at the moment.
And on a side note, is anyone else curious as to why they just skipped over Windows 9?

I think it has something to do with problems caused by coding shortcuts in Windows 95 and 98. Programs designed to be compatible with 95 and 98 would use something like Windows_9* to detect both programs. This would also detect Windows_9.

Because 9 has a virus so that's why Microsoft is handing out 10 for free.

pure marketing. the fallout from windows 8 tabletware was so bad that the next iteration was too toxic to market. it's a psych trick to distance the product from an old version. 8.1 works just fine. people complain about it too much.
