I know Activision publishes both games, Im pretty sure I mentioned that earlier. The point I was trying to make was that BO3 is literally the only thing being talked about right now (my sub feed on Youtube is basically all BO3 beta vids), yet no one us talking about the stream tomorrow except ign. This may all change by tomorrow. Also if BO3 doesnt turn out to be trash, Fallout 4 is GotY or as good as it seemed in E3, Battelfront and Halo 5 turn out great, Bungie is in trouble because why pay the full price of a game for an expansion. And yea PS exclusivity sucks. Before xbox got dlcs a month sooner, thats it. We fidnt have to wait a whole year for content

I can't take you seriously if you think that garbage that 343 is putting out actually has a chance to be successful. Halo ended with Reach, Bungie's last Halo game. Everything 343 has done so far has been a massive failure. Halo 4 might have sold well but the game itself was dead online a week after it came out. Halo 5 has no chance of even putting a dent in Destiny's playerbase. CoD on the other hand is always successful but it's been losing numbers every year since MW3. It'll do well this year too but I think CoD is far past its prime and will never break its own sales records again. It was a fad and all fads die eventually.

Well I played the Halo 5 beta, and while I did not like Halo 4, I actually enjoyed Halo 5. And Ill be the first to admit that MCC flopped hard. And yes CoD's numbers are going down but you never know this year might be a turnaround for them, and I am by no means a CoD fanboy. Havent bought CoD since BO2 and havent played it in years. Also I never meant that CoD/Halo would hurt or "kill" Destiny, it probably wont die unless TTK flops (which it probably wont), and the only games that could kill destiny are games of high caliber or popularity like Fallout, Elder Scrolls, or GTA

Games don't kill other games. They just die out on their own for various reasons. Everything loses popularity eventually. Sure there are some MMOs that have been going strong for 10+ years but for every one of those there's another 100 MMOs that pop up and fail/die shortly afterwards. Destiny is unique because it doesn't quite qualify as a full blown MMOs but it has a community/playerbase that consists of many MMO players and casual gamers alike. So I think Destiny will be fine for another year, especially if there's new content every 3 to 6 months. But eventually everyone will find other games they'd rather play or just quit playing Destiny for any number of reasons. I definitely don't believe Destiny will last a decade because it's a cross-generation console game. As long as Activision/Bungie is supporting last-gen consoles, they can't truly upgrade the game to it's full potential. Destiny will always be hindered by the last-gen consoles unless they decide to stop supporting them. The Xbox 360 will be 10 years old in November. And no console generation has ever lasted more than 8 years. So if Destiny is to last 10 years, it needs to be a current-gen only game and drop the last-gen support. And even then I highly doubt we'll be playing our Xbox Ones and PS4s 10 years from now. The next generation will be out by then.

I agree with everything. I also believe that if Activision really wishes to invrese the longevity of Destiny they need to consitently release content (free or extremely cheap via updates) to keep the player base engaged and playing even more. Because god knows how many more times I can kill Crota Atheon or do a Taniks nightfall without going insane or just straight up taking a long break before a content release. I believe I speak for most of the community here. Hopefully Bungie learns from these mistakes because this franchise has the potential to be the greatest ever if they dont keep upsetting the fanbase with questionable actions.
