The term meta is not video game lingo. Meta data is data about data. Think of it as statistics derived from data, in relation to video games. Data in this regard means the weapons in the game. The meta, are the statistics of said data. 90% of crucible players are using thorn = meta data about thorn.

  • Meta has its own meanings in gaming. Meta, metagame... Ex- "the current meta of Thorn and TLW needs to go, it's really time for something new".

  • The current data on thorn is the same thing as meta on thorn. And there's no special meaning for it in gaming. The term is used often in programming. Video games are programs written for computers. Meta is data about data. In gaming, and anything else.

  • Sorry bud, but console follows the trends that PC sets and this is pretty common standard lingo.
