The best elemental primaries you can get are from either the vog or the crota raid. Just my opinion though.

Nice. I think you can get elemental handcannons, scout rifles, auto rifles and pulse rifles from each of those raids I mentioned. I don't know about trials weapons because I haven't got to the lighthouse but I can safely say some of the best weapons are dropped in the V.O.G e.g fatebringer (drops from templar on hard mode) and the vision of confluence (I think this drops from atheon but don't quote me on that) However each to their own and use what guns you like.
