Sadly no you have not. I once got a 3.8 only to go 0.3 the next match. That happens a lot. Depends on whether you actually try to win the match or protect your kd ratio. I'll try and and capture points if needed rather then hang back and try not to die. Don't fall into the belief that a high kd means everything. Especially for control players like me

It does mean a lot to capture points, but having 1-3 players at the top of the team with lots and lots of kills, aka the slayers, definitely does matter because if you only capture the point and then die or lose the point, you're still losing. You could PTFO as hard as you want but you still need players that get lots of kills.

Yes kills mean everything. What I'm saying is if your team has one point and the opposing team has two, you are playing at a disadvantage for getting points. If they are protecting a point with a bubble I would still rush it with a shotgun in order to get them off it. This can either work or not work. Its a gamble but I have turned the tide of matches by sacrificing my kd in order to get those points. Probably the main thing to not do is capture the wrong capture point. Most maps are unbalanced and have one point that is better to keep (A or C) and rushing these points can turn a match around for a comeback at the expense of a drop in kd ratio.

I get that but if you go too negative but cap lots of zones, it hurts more than not capping zones

Yeah the trick is to cap them then keep them by protecting those points and being a team player and not focusing on your own kd ratio. Im not disagreeing with you. Someone who gets no kills but captures lots of points is doing nothing for their team. What I'm saying is is that some people think that anything below a 1 in kd ratio is crap, when for control that is not always the case especially in the situations ive stated above

I know, I was just adding to the conversation. I totally agree.
