I want all of us to consider something
I want you to imagine if everyone, from every console, and every level, was actually living in the world of Destiny. All the rules apply, you can be revived, but you die if you die in a darkness zone alone. Now think, you are a soldier of the recovering light, and you can't fight back alone. You need the help of every guardian, every man woman and child, human exo and awoken, titan warlock and hunter. In this world, instead of making fun of or excluding the person without a weapon, wouldn't it make more sense to help them? To give them a chance, and give hope to the light? Every soldier would count, no matter if they had a Gjallahorn or a No Land Beyond. I'm saying this because, I think most of those people excluding other players because of weapons, wouldn't last a day, and the level tens making friends and dreaming about the future, they would last forever.

Edit: well, didn't expect this thread to get so popular. Spread the word across the people's of our fine forum!
Edit: For a while, I have been developing an idea for a democratic body in the forum, so we can get exactly what we want in Bungie's face, instead of them just reading whatever is sent to them. If we make this council official, the people could finally have a single voice worth listening to by Bungie. Think about it and post it below!

Do we hand the person with the comparable experience or effectiveness of an infant a weapon and move him to the front lines or do we look for somebody who won't get their head blown off the instant they decide to look down the barrel of their own gun? Some people need to work on building up their effectiveness in battle alone before trying to become the weakest and most ineffective link in a team of experienced players who stand a much greater chance of achieving success by choosing a better player to take into combat with them instead.

I like the idea of a council of some sort. Warframe, a pc game I play, has a similar thing. There we have whats called the design council and it is entirely made up of players who talk with the Developers at DE about what they see going on in the game such as what types of items players want and how to incorporate them into the game.

5 RepliesThe problem with this. You are comparing a video game to real life. In real life i would use the noobs as a meat shield. In a video game i can take the heat no problem and dish it out. I would prefer someone that can dish it out as well. Keep in mind I've never required someone to have a ghorn, but after the patch i will require it.

i only exclude people who scream "Tepo!!! Tepo, use the headset, tepo!!!" I hate, really, really hate that someone try to made me use the headset if i dont want or can... I have headset, but hate someone try so -blam!-ing hard to made me use them...

1 ReplyWe're not actually dying in life, because Destiny is a game...so, no..you won't get people selflessly helping each other. Also, have you ever played paintball in the woods? you get freaking shot at, by your own team mates, because they think its a laugh. And if a council was every created, I expect that many many others, including myself, would go out of the way to sabotage it. Like that prat who got invited to some Destiny TTK event, saying"blah blah blah, i'm honored to represent the Destiny community" -sure as heck doesn't represent me
