It all started when TDB was released and vendor gear was better than vault gear. I feel with every expansion that comes out players get worse and worse at raids in particular vault of glass. Who thinks that most players won't even be able to beat the Oryx raid?
Edit 1 - I realize this post maybe confusing to some and that I do not want to help new players. What I should have said was that I am sick of people being 34 with decent grimoire lying about skill level. I'm not the best but generally I let someone know if I can't do something in a raid for example I can't run sword at crota.
Edit 2 - I am 282 light level currently for taken king is 300 the cap?
Edit 3 - So now that kings fall is out are some people having a hard time with underleveled players at Oryx, as in dps on Oryx?

1 ReplyWell that's what happens when you don't have to earn your gear...-blam!-ing Bungie
-
I had two in a strike today, who had absolutely no blaming idea, it was like me just doing it myself , a blaming strike FML
-
Me too. Id like to see other raids locked in some way so that vog and crotas end have to be completed at least once so the next raid can be played i dont thats alot to ask
-
This is exactly why people make requirements to be able to find a raid group on LFG.
-
7 RepliesYou think that's bad? Wait until you get 40s who think a high light lvl will make hard vault into easy mode.
-
14 Repliesalongside this, i despise 34s that genuinely havnt a clue how to do the bridge section on Crota..
-
9 Replies"So, who wants to be relic holder?" He died halfway through (3rd try or so) and I took over. Never have I been trusted with the relic. We win. Of course I leave after we die to Gorgon's 7 times or so.

I think it's funny, in a sad funny type way. I typically run it with a couple friends and we pick up randoms to round out our group. We've actually received many thanks from guys doing it trying to get those last few pieces of gear or exotic hunting because we know what we're doing and they say they seldom find people that know how to run it. I know that's true because on occasion I want to play it and find so many sad groups. If I fall into one of those I just leave. The one thing they all seem to have in common is they are generally all 14 and under. I have a friend who streams and he likes to take people on raids that haven't gotten to do them before. It's astonishing how many people that are now 32+ have never done Crota and have no idea how. It's not just VoG!

2 RepliesI only just managed to get my character to 34 before the update dropped. I only did VOG once, because I found a group willing to take me through and explain the sections to me. If you don't have friends who play destiny, it can be hard to learn the raids with random people, most likely you get kicked or no one wants to actually explain what to do. Sure, you can watch videos and read about it, but it's not the same as going through it. Try and help people through a few times if your a experienced player and more people will become more adept at completing the raids

Wait till the new guys get to jump to 25 and skip everything to start at TTK content.
-
Yes i am allot theyre so bad at the game
-
Duuudddeeee it took me 4 hours to do it with a team of 34s and one 29 was ridiculous hahahah
-
A little, Im not gonna lie.
-
2 RepliesIf you tell me off the bat that you've never done it before or aren't experienced, I have no problem teaching anything you want to know. If you lie, you get booted. Period. No exceptions.

4 RepliesSo many so-called veterans think they know what they are doing. It's a shame that they are showing the new guys the most difficult methods when it is so easy now that everyone is level 34. Do you simply find a place to chill during Templar Summons Its Legions? Do you position snipers with Icebreakers during Oracle stage....no deaths....easy peezy. Do you still jump around on rocks in the Gorgon's Maze when there is a simple path that requires ZERO jumping? Do you show noobs the "alternate" route across the jump puzzle and get frustrated when they fail or simply show them the easy way using all 8 platforms? Do you even know the easy way? Do you jump around and taunt Atheon(setting a bad example for noobs) instead of just waiting patiently from cover for him to open the timestream. Do you still tell guys to throw grenades at the minotaur when anyone 32 or above can easily kill it with the relic. This often causes noobs to miss the first Oracle. Do you really need a Titan's bubble and Weapon's Of Light which just adds another thing that noobs can mess up. Do you still use Gjallerhorn on Atheon causing him to move around and making it more difficult for the snipers who are doing the real damage?

Edited by BossManTings88: 9/9/2015 5:19:19 PMNot really I find it -blam!-ing hilarious when we have a noob in the group and they freak out
-
Nope. I run with the same crew always. Don't LFG man
-
This is a casual gamer type of game.. You got to the highest light level with almost no effort
-
1 ReplyI did VOG with a team of 34s and only two of us had done it before. We taught them how to do it and completed it in an hour. Its not that bad.
-
Tis been that way since HoW
-
I've usually got tons of time to kill. Managed to find my way into several teams who didn't know sh¡t from shinola. I'll do my best to help, but damned if I'm going to wade through all that crap for hours if they don't get it.
-
My favorite was on lfg: 32+ only or 34's only for VOG hard mode
-
8 RepliesWell, guess what? <25% of all destiny players have never beaten a raid. With patch 2.0, expect the numbers of raid new-comers to be multiplied a ton due to the Light Levels evaporating. Get used to it and help out players that want to learn as you have.
-
Edited by cabinny00: 9/9/2015 4:18:21 PMWell then answers clear teach them what to do. And I would say remember not everyone did the Atheon part the same way for example My clan never did center strategy.
-
Im a (newer) player bought destiny with TDL and HOW and had to learn VOG. I love the raid. Its a better raid IMO compared to Crota and much more satisfying when you beat it. I only have once on hard due to people ditching or lagging out but i would always be down to do it again learn new strategies etc. I know there are probably people out there that dont even play VOG if they have the expansions because they dont have to but I enjoy VOG. So dont assume every 34 newb is against it. I have a mic always listen for advice in raids because i believe thats what coop play is all about. I know the mechanics of all the raids that wasnt an issue with youtube, forums etc but fine tuning my raid skills is always a goal.

It was a joke with 32s in February, today its either automatic boot or intentional carry
