Cabal doing Cabal things.
Also, be sure to see the lvl cap raised to 45, a new weapon type that resembles a grenade launcher obtainable, and Cabal themed(see:amazing) Raid gear.
But seriously, I see it being about the aftermath of TTK and how the Cabal are tired of running. So they call in for some help from the higher up bosses

Thats a good idea maybe they call in some major bck up. The forge could be code for the ship they come in and to the cabal they're gods

Yeah, that could make sense because this is just a branch of the Cabal that we encounter. They could contact "base command" or something

There is a vex dlc before the cabal one

The vex dlc will probably end with us removing them from the solar system, for the time being, by destroying some major mind core in the depths of Venus or Mars, and now that we eliminated the vex and taken, who were the two races they are at war with on Mars and the dreadnaught, they will put all of their efforts into fighting us and we will most likely get a glimpse at the true power of the empire.

Then the level cap will be raised from 45 to 50 in time for Destiny 2. I stand by my other statements
