I'm going to try to be nice as it appears you aren't thinking this idea all the way through. For the record, I hate grinding. This game rewards grinding and punishes cheesing. Ideas to complement this game have to keep that in mind. Therefore, for an idea to actually be implemented in this game it has to be a grind. Glimmer can be gathered without trying. It can also be farmed. It's also easy to get. This idea is meant to be a grind. It's not meant to get all your gear up to the newest levels on day 1 or even week 1. Making it a grind gives it a better chance of being feasible, even if it's not considered.

"Punished" in this context refers to having that cheesing method removed because it was a shortcut. Bungie hates shortcuts. It doesn't take HOURS to max glimmer. Go to Venus, hit the loot cave with the servitor, pop an ether seed, 60 or so minutes later you're maxed. That's best case scenario. So, let's say 90 minutes to be fair.
