It does have dedicated servers, I only join Australians and New Zealanders.

They use dedicated servers but for other things outside of actual crucible play. For instance the matchmaking servers themselves are dedicated. That's why you often see everyone with a green-bar connection during the matchmaking process yet when the game starts (and subsequently starts being hosted from one of the players console) connections start going red.

Being a kiwi only joining Australians and New Zealanders, I class that as dedicated servers. But whenever I played Call of Duty I could join anyone, most of the time I joined Americans. So yes, destiny has dedicated servers or local servers

Edited by Fatal 0Efx: 8/11/2015 4:40:13 AMThat's just a result of the matchmaking on Bungie's part. Crucible gameplay is P2P-based, meaning it runs from a person's console. They use dedicated servers for other aspects of the game, e.g. the actual matchmaking process.

Lol that's not dedicated servers. Dedicated servers are when the game is hosted at a server room and not on someone's Xbox (or PS4 don't h8)
